Science is a verb. We must get sciencing. The world requires it!

C2ST and ARCS Foundation, Illinois Chapter are proud to present an evening with Bridget Coughlin, president and CEO of the Shedd Aquarium, as she discusses the need for science today:

“At Shedd Aquarium, our teams conduct science every day in big and small ways. From our onsite microbiome lab, water quality assessments and animal health hospital, all the way to the Bahamas where field researchers track Nassau grouper and evaluate queen conch populations. We even do science right in our own backyard, where citizen scientists help restore Great Lake beaches, track spawning migrations and log amphibian populations. Together, Shedd teams are working to deepen the understanding of our blue planet.

With a mission to spark compassion, curiosity and conservation for the aquatic animal world, join us to learn how Shedd Aquarium is engaging nearly two million annual visitors in the verb of science, hear about cutting- edge research deep in the sea, and determine what we need to do to keep the Great Lakes clean and sustained,” Coughlin said.

To hear more of her insights, and partake in a lively Q&A, join us Wednesday, April 4.
