Every Click Leaves a Clue: The Technology & Tactics of the FBI Cyber Crime Division

WHAT: Chicago Council on Science and Technology Networking Event

WHERE: Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N. Cannon Drive in Lincoln Park (just North of the Lincoln Park Zoo), Chicago

WHEN: Thursday, November 1, 2012, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

COST: Free to members, general attendees $15

Please join Chicago Council on Science and Technology for a networking event Thursday, Nov. 1, at 5:30 pm at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. The event will give current C2ST members a chance to mingle, socialize, learn about upcoming programs, and see video highlights from past programs. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be included.

In addition to networking with other C2ST supporters, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals from science- and technology- focused groups such as the Illinois Science and Technology Coalition (ISTC), the ARCS Foundation, the Illinois Science Teachers Association (ISTA) and the Illinois Science Council (ISC).

Attendees will be able to visit the Judy Istock Butterfly haven, a 2,700 square foot greenhouse that holds over 1,000 butterflies from 75 different species, and bird species from the Southern hemisphere. The space is filled with pools of water, flowers, and tropical trees. The Wilderness Walk will also be open, which includes three re-created environments: a prairie, savanna, and dune, with both live and preserved animals. And on the Micole Birdwalk, enjoy a beautiful view of the city skyline.

Have a friend who is thinking about joining C2ST? This is a perfect opportunity to bring them along and show them what the organization is about. If they choose to join that evening, their attendance fee will be applied towards the cost of membership.

For more information or to register for the event, visit www.c2st.org, or contact Chris Tucker at membership@c2st.org or 312-587-5877.
