Join Chicago Council on Science and Technology for An Evening with the Stars of Science and Technology June 13 at the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum!

Enjoy stimulating conversation with members of Chicago’s elite scientific, business and philanthropic communities. Become immersed in hands-on scientific exhibits and demonstrations, and enjoy a stunning view of the Chicago skyline.

The evening will include live music, a seated dinner, fast-paced entertainment and a silent auction featuring treasures from around the world. The evening will be Emceed by Fox News Meteorologist Tammie Souza.

Upon arrival, guests will explore the Adler after hours, enjoy cocktails and live jazz in the Sky Theater, and drink in the beautiful skyline at sunset.  After mingling with the local stars of Chicago’s scientific community, attendees will sit down to dinner and the Write Club, a no-holds-barred verbal smack-down featuring two writers and two opposing ideas, who each have seven minutes to sway the audience to declare them victorious.

Raffle and auction items available include: private cooking classes from acclaimed restauranteur and molecular gastronomer Homaro Cantu, the executive chef of Moto and owner and operator of Cantu Designs firm; a private tour of ‘The Caves of Lascaux’ exhibit led by Field Museum Curator Dr. Robert Martin; original artwork from famed Chicago pop artist Peter Mars, impossible-to-get seats to sporting events and more!

Most people—even those living in Illinois—are unaware that more scientific research is conducted within a 300-mile radius of Chicago than on both coasts combined, and we seek to change that.
