Warren Township High School to Host First Ever Hackathon as Part of Centennial Anniversary with Help from Local Businesses

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–AKHAN Semiconductor is pleased to announce that it will be a supporting sponsor of Devil Hack 1.00, Warren Township High School’s first ever hackathon, on January 28th and 29th, 2017. Devil Hack is a weekend long “invention marathon” during which local area high school upperclassmen and community college students from the College of Lake County will work together to learn, build & share creations over the course of a weekend.

Hackathon projects will center on health care/biopharma, energy efficiency & human services. These areas have huge potential for growth, are in need of real world solutions during this time of expansion, and are primed for disruption, particularly by tomorrow’s leaders. The combination of real world mentors, college-aged student leads, and high school students fosters promotion of innovative and implementable solutions.
