Join the Chicago Council on Science and Technology and the Chicago Architecture Center for a special behind-the-scenes visit to the Farm on Ogden and learn about urban agriculture in Chicago.

Tour the Farm on Ogden with CAC & C2ST and discover how this innovative growing facility serves the residents of North Lawndale and beyond, bolstering urban agriculture efforts in Chicago. The Farm on Ogden is a city lot reborn into a vibrant community hub with indoor and outdoor farming, a market, health programs, and job training. Created through a partnership between the Chicago Botanic Garden and Lawndale Christian Health Center (LCHC), this uniquely designed and programmed space takes a “whole person” approach to community health and wellness, fostering lasting change and impact.

This program features a guided tour of the Farm on Ogden with Chicago Botanic Garden staff, covering the working urban farm’s operations and community offerings, its job training mission, and its growing practices. It will conclude with a catered lunch & learn presentation on the facility’s design with architecture firm Booth Hansen.

Arrive early or stay after and grab some fresh produce from Farm on Ogden’s Produce Market, open every Saturday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
